Darlington is a picturesque market town located in North East England and BEST WESTERN Walworth Castle Hotel as the ideal venue to visit one of the most beautiful areas of England. We are conveniently situated near the North Yorkshire moors, York, Durham Cathedral, and Northumberland.

The Darlington town centre offers a wide array of shops and boutiques including many high street names as well as privately owned shops which offer great service and stock unusual items not found on other high streets.

There are lots of street art which can entertain, like 'Life Pulse' where light columns illuminate to your heart beat, or the distinctive Market Cascade which provides a relaxing waterfall to sit by and watch the world go by. There is also the student art in the yards behind the main high row which is an outdoor gallery and provides a showcase for young talent. There is an indoor and outdoor market and monthly Farmer's and Craft Markets are now located in the heart of the Darlington town centre.

As well as the traditional heritage of Darlington, it is also very contemporary with pavement cafes and eateries.
